Bobcat Mini Tracked Loader – Taking Compact to a whole new level

This powerful, agile, fast and extremely versatile unit delivers numerous cost and time saving benefits which makes it the ideal partner for a wide variety of applications including landscaping, demolition, agriculture, etc.

‘Working smarter and faster is a guaranteed way of achieving the goal of improving productivity,” says Bobcat South Africa’s Key Accounts Manager, Jan Stansfield. “With more than fifteen different attachments, including angle broom, auger, bucket, hydraulic breaker, pallet fork, tiller, etc., the versatility of the MT55 loader knows no bounds. The unit quickly and easily handles labour and time intensive activities such as digging, trenching, sweeping, moving, and lifting, in less than half the time.”

The trencher can dig trenches up to 61cm deep and 10cm to 20cm wide while the hydraulic breaker easily breaks up hard surfaces like asphalt and concrete. “Due to the fact that it is a tracked machine, the resultant low ground pressure minimises damage to lawns and gardens,” adds Stansfield.

When it comes to compact, the MT55 is unrivalled. With a narrow width of only 91 cm, the loader is easily manoeuverable in tight spaces, both indoors and outdoors, easily passing through a 1 m door width. “The unit can even drive up and down steps,” notes Stansfield. This lightweight unit (1186kg operating weight) is easy to transport on the back of a trailer.

“Despite its extreme compact proportions, this unit certainly does not compromise when it comes to rugged performance,” continues Stansfield. “Powered by a 17.5 kW liquid-cooled diesel engine, the unit boasts a load capacity of 245 kg.”

“This unit was designed with operator comfort top of mind because a comfortable and confident operator is a safe operator,” comments Stansfield. The operator has the option to either walk behind the unit or ride on it. The ride-on platform, available in kit form, can be easily mounted or dismounted in seconds. The standing surface is large for operator comfort, safety and convenience while a smooth ride is ensured by the pivoting mount with a trailer wheel. The drive and steering controls are adjustable in terms of height and tilting to suit individual operator preference.

Wrapping up, Stansfield says, “We consider quality after-sales service just as important as supplying quality products. We support our wide range of compact equipment with excellent after-sales service delivered by highly trained technicians based at our country wide branch network who are on 24/7 stand-by.”
